Sample Collection


Photo showing filtered water sample being collected in a bottle. Water is filtered through high quality paper having pore size of 0.45 micrometers. The paper is fitted between the stainless steel plates on the tripod shown in the foreground. Filtered water is collected in 250 ml polyethylene bottles which are stored on ice in a cooler and transported to the IGS laboratory in Bloomington for analysis of anions and metals.
