Geologist, Astronaut, U.S. Senator Jack Schmitt Visits IU
IGS researcher Agnieszka Drobniak (left) greets Jack Schmitt during a reception for him at the Geology Building April 13. Drobniak was one of several IGS and Department of Geological Sciences personnel on hand to meet one of the last two people to walk on the moon. During his visit to Bloomington, Schmitt made a presentation entitled Trip to the moon and beyond at Whittenberger Auditorium, presented a colloquium, and visited a local school.
