Indiana Contribution to the National Geothermal Data System

Issue: The objective of the project is to facilitate the search for sources of renewable geothermal energy.
Objective: State-specific geothermal data will be compiled into an integrated, distributed, and searchable national data system, referred to as the "National Geothermal Data System."
Approach: A coalition of state geological surveys will populate the National Geothermal Data System with relevant state-specific geothermal data.
Products: The National Geothermal Data System will serve as a national library of geothermal data and information that will be available to the public.
Benefits: The National Geothermal Data System will drive renewed efforts to identify, assess and exploit geothermal energy resources across America.
