    Abstract: This is a polygon shpaefile of the economic development area in Hammond known as the Urban Enterprise Zone (or UEA).  The polygon is registered against the Hammond basemap compiled in 1995 and referenced to the aerial photography of that same timeframe.  The coordinate system is Indiana Stateplane West, NAD 83.  The polygon boundaries were determined by the Hammond Planning Dept. The only attribute associated with the polygons is 'TYPE' with a value of 'Developeable' or 'Undevelopeable'.  The UEA was digitized originally in Jan. 2001 and revised in June of 2004.  As of this date (Nov. 2004) this boundary is current.
