A new layer has been added that shows color infrared imagery acquired in Spring,
2005, as part of the Statewide Orthophotography Project (provided by Indiana
University, University Information Technology Services). Color infrared
imagery records green, red, and the photographic portion of near-infrared
scene energy. The resulting false-color imagery can be interpreted to provide
information about the health of vegetation, water and water content, impervious
surfaces, and other information. In order to view the new layer (as well as
other new content and functionality described below), click here.

also be shown. After clicking the tool, scroll to the bottom of the "Add Line or Polygon Graphic" frame to view
instructions regarding the use of the tool.

Two new layers have been added
in August. This includes color aerial photos taken in Spring, 2005, as part

of Transportation).
The Indiana Department of Environmental
Management (IDEM), Office of Land Quality, has provided updated versions of
their layers (18 layers) that are current to July 27, 2006. If you are a user
of these data, you may wish to re-download them.
A new tool named "Keyword Search"
has been added to the bottom of the
vertical toolbar. This tool allows users to search for layers of possible
interest by using keywords.
A short description of each layer is
now available by clicking the metadata button
that appears to the
left of each layer's name. A link to the full FGDC-compliant metadata is available
within each short description.
In conjunction with the change
to an MXD-based ArcMap service, new legends have been created for many of
the layers. For example, the layer named "Traffic Counts (INDOT)" has been
re-symbolized to show average daily traffic volume for roads.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has updated two layers showing trails and recreational facilities. If you are a
user of these data, you may wish to re-download them.
The "Print" button
has been modified
to allow users to select from a variety of page sizes and formats. NOTE: Before printing your map, please use "Print Preview" to make
sure that your map layout does not span more than one page. If it does, please either (1) Go to a larger page size,
(2) Switch to portrait orientation, or (3) Choose not to show the legend.
A new tool named "Generate Map Link"
has been added to the vertical toolbar. This tool allows
users to share their customized maps with others. NOTE: This tool may not work with browsers other than Internet Explorer.
