Development of the Monitoring Network

Map 1

Fleming and others mapped hydrogeologic settings of Indiana.

Map 2

The Indiana Ground Water Task Force decided to use these settings as the basis for the pesticide-monitoring network. A special subcommittee was formed to select those settings to be included in the network.

Map 3

Agricultural areas within each monitoring network were identified.

Map 4

Monitoring points within each network were selected by personnel of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).
