Image mosaics of coastal aerial photos depicting the Lake Michigan shoreline from 2009 and 2010 have been added to the site. The images were collected by the Lake Michigan Coastal Program of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and georeferenced by the Center for Geospatial Data Analysis. The mosaics can be viewed on the interactive map, and all images can be downloaded. For more information, see the layer's metadata.

  • a3.12.2009 - LakeRim tool improvements
Two map tools on the LakeRim site were recently updated, making them easier to use and reducing the potential for errors. The Identify Tool now displays layer attribute information in an existing map frame, rather than in a popup window. This will eliminate popup blocker problems that users have experienced in the past. The Zoom to Address tool was also streamlined, reducing the number of search options from seven to three. This makes the tool easier to use, while retaining the same basic functionality.
  • 10.8.2008 - Updated LakeRim site now available

The updated LakeRim site includes many new data layers (including extensive sets of aerial photos dating back to the late 1980s), FGDC-compliant metadata for downloadable map layers, new tools for data analysis and map output, and links to other information resources for the Lake Michigan region.
