First Aid Kit Checklist
  

A well-stocked first aid kit is important in order to reduce your risk in the event of an earthquake. These kits can help you respond effectively to common injuries that can occur and should be kept with your earthquake disaster supplies. The following items are recommended for all first aids kits:

  • Absorbent compress dressings
  • Adhesive bandages in various sizes and shapes
  • Adhesive first aid tape
  • Triple antibiotic ointment packets
  • Antiseptic cleansing wipes
  • Aspirin
  • A one-way, nonlatex breathing barrier for CPR
  • Instant cold compress
  • Nonlatex gloves
  • Hydrocortisone ointment packets
  • Tweezers
  • Scissors
  • Gauze roll bandage
  • Sterile gauze dressing pads
  • Oral thermometer (nonglass, nonmercury)
  • Triangular sling/bandage
  • Elastic bandage
  • First aid instruction booklet
